Andrew update

So for the past couple of weeks I was convinced that Andrew was learning how to smile.  However, nobody believed me until last Thursday.  After his morning feeding, we were snuggling when sure enough he smiled at me and then did it again!  It is the best feeling in the world to see his little face work like that!  I know that it is a "social smile" and he doesn't really know what he is smiling at, but someday soon he will!  He has been making lots of noises when playing and I really appreciate them more than the cries.  I'm looking forward to the time where the crying is phased out for some more pleasureable noises!

Last Friday Andrew and I visited my friends and co-workers at school.  It was fun to see everyone and to show off Andrew.  He was a hit and even some of last year's students stopped by to say hi.  It was a little strange being back at school after all of this time, nearly four months.  Up until now it has seemed like my maternity leave would go on forever, but now we're on the downhill slide and it is beginning to seem way to short.  I'm so blessed that we were able to manage a 12 week leave!  As I'm getting the mom thing down and Andrew is getting more interactive, maternity leave is much more pleasureable.  Plus, I can't imagine what it will be like when we have "bad" nights and I still have to go to work instead of resting when Andrew does.

Lastly, we weighted Andrew on Tuesday and he is up to 11 pounds 10 ounces!

Brothers hanging out!  Have a great weekend.
