Andrew's First Haircut

Here are some pictures of Andrew's first haircut.  He got his haircut a few weeks ago, but I'm just now downloading them from my bloggie.  He was supposed to get it cut during my haircut on a Saturday, so Jeff could bring him in, but Andrew ended up getting a stomach bug.  My Grandma Stallman and I took him in when she was in town to see Billy Elliott at the Civic Center.  Josie, my stylist, did a great job!  It is amazing how much a trim does to make my baby look like such a big boy!  He was so good and pretty much chewed on a teething bar the whole time.  He didn't like her messing around his ears and would turn his head, but he did great other than that!

Melinda and Dillon are Married!

My youngest sister, Melinda, got married over the weekend.  I was Matron-of-Honor, Jeff was an usher and Andrew was the cutest ring bearer ever!  A year of planning created a perfect day that ended all too quickly.  The weather was beautiful and we had a great time dancing the night away.  It was really fun to spend some quality time with our families.  We are so happy to have Uncle Dillon as an official part of our family.  For the first time, boys out-number the girls in the Coberly family.  (Dad is probably thrilled although he secretly has a soft spot for us girls :)

 Grandpa Coberly and his boy!

 What a pair!

The beautiful ladies: Lindy Hoy, Erin Cubit, Melinda Eggers, Laura Coller, and Candace Carman.  While we were unsure at first, these dress were beautiful and flattering on all of us!  They looked great with our pink flowers, shoes, and other pink accessories for some of us (ie. ME)!

What a cheeseball!  Isn't that the cutest flower ever?

9 month stats!

Last week Andrew had his 9 month check up at 10 months.  He is a healthy, growing boy.  He is 30 1/4 inches tall, 91%, 24 pounds, 93%, and his head circumference is 18 3/4 inches, 95%.  The doctor mentioned that he is well-proportioned, so his high numbers aren't concerning.  He is still a good eater and is eating a combination of baby and table food.  He loves Cheerios and any crunchy snacks like puffs and crackers.  He is starting to do pretty well drinking from a cup.  He is sleeping through the night, going to bed between 7 and 7:30 and getting up around 6 A.M.  He usually takes two 1.5 hour naps during the day.  He is a busy little boy bouncing from activity to activity.  He likes going for walks and playing in the water.  He is pretty happy and is quick to smile and laugh.  He is starting to say "mama" or "mom" quite a bit now.  He can pull himself up and cruises around the furniture.  He thinks he is big and tough when we stand him behind his walker.  He is a mamma's boy, but gets really excited when daddy gets home.  He even crawled to meet him at the door the other day!  We love our big, little boy!

**I'll post pictures soon!  I lost my camera during our trip to St. Louis and I just got a new one.  Expect pictures soon!

More teeth and the flu

Poor Andrew looks to be getting more teeth. His eye teeth and the teeth next to them are really swollen. During a tickle session yesterday, I noticed that he must be getting his one year mortars in because I saw something white poking through. To top it off, we got Andrew all tucked into bed on Friday night and I went up check on him when he started eying, which is unusual. I got upstairs and he was all covered with throw up. We changed his bed and gave him another bath and got his back to bed. He slept through the night fine, and took his morning bottle fine on Saturday. Unfortunately, his tummy was still upset because his bottle came back up all over both of us and the couch. We gave him another bath and got him settled into in a nap. Luckily, that was the end of the throwing up. He is back to taking bottles again, but I am having a heck of a time getting him to eat anything besides Cheerios. Do I give in and allow him to eat what he wants, or make him eat what he is supposed to. Besides the swollen gums, it doesn't seem like his teeth are hurting too much. So who knows? We've had a great start to the summer! We've done story time, which Andrew tolerated just like every other "first". He seems to like to take things in a little, which isn't a terrible thing. We went to the splash pad with our good friends/neighbors, and again Andrew pretty much just sat at watched the other kids while chewing on his plastic shovel and getting his other toys stolen by other kids. We take Kinnick on a couple of walks a day and today we went to the pool with our friends, the Beaudets. Surprisingly, Andrew seemed to like the pool and giggled while playing. He even fell asleep while we were playing in the water. All in all, a good start to summer!
